Amity Christian Church has a great heritage. The original founders began meeting in 1846. The church’s roots go back to the Stone-Campbell Movement of the early 1800s, sometimes known as the American Restoration Movement. Three branches of this movement continue to this day, including the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the A Capella Churches of Christ, and the Independent Christian Churches. ACC voluntarily affiliates with the movement of Independent Christian Churches.
